I'm not sure you see the point jaquej was attempting to convey (or at least, the point I got from it). Its the constant concern for the market and buying things that seems to be the prevelant message coming out of D.C. these days. Now, there's nothing wrong with us getting on with normal life, I'm all for it, believe me. However, I too am beginning to tire of hearing the "just act normal" mantra repeated after every single newscast, sporting event, etc.

Yes, keeping the economy going *is* important. But more important than that is the government being level with the people it serves. If there are terrorists attacks coming, and they know about them, let us know in as much detail as possible and not just vague general warnings. If there is a strange incident like today, don't immediatly go into the "not terrorist" mode 2 hours after the fact, like they did with the anthrax breakout a month ago, only to be proven to be fools.

I and others here are adults and as such, expect our employees to treat us as such. Anything else is insulting and presumptuous on their part.

Thanks, Lumberjack, for getting my point. I was so upset I had to go take a nap. Now I am up, since DH came home (and fortunately I made dinner before I collapsed in a hea>).

I am fed up and I can't take it anymore. But, will read past your post before screaming into the computer again at the mess we are facing...
