I hate to say this, but it would not take a large bomb to cause the explosion described by the eyewitness. One small block of C-4 with a barometric trigger would do the trick. And that is what scares the hell out of me. The airport security is still a joke and I'll bet my life savings that JFK has YET to do any background checks or fire any suspicious employees that work the ramp. God help us all. And let's start warming up the birds in the bullpen.

Yes sir! 100% agreement! I keep hearing reports of (part of) the wing (with engine?)  falling in one place and the rest of plane a few blocks away. Were the terrorists hoping for it to crash into the ocean where retrieval would take many more days??? Like flight #800

The airport is corralling all ground workers as I type...Going through employee rosters. (my speculation)
