being an apologist for criminals is a different class than actually being one.

And here's part 1 of Horowitz's dismantling of the Chomsky myth:
The Sick Mind of Noam Chomsky. But the second part makes better reading, it goes more into specifics and examples. The first part, though, is required reading as well.

Nobody is going to file charges against an old, retired mortuary janitor in Texas that cares more about his cats than any people he knows :) . But it's still a felony to make specific death threats.

Repeal TenureExactly the right solution. You think Mr Linguistics would be spouting his mouth off like Che Guevara if he knew some MIT benefactor could have his job erased? I doubt it , seriously..

'eternally sensible David Horowitz'
LOL
Since he is eternally sensible would it be fair to assume that he was sensible when he was a lackey for the black panthers? Horowitz is a nobody.

because chomsky was just as intensely critical of clinton policies, such as kosovo, welfare reform and the sudan bombing. read "the new military humanism" for his take on kosovo/yugo conflict.

How's this? All of the people killed & wounded in order to liberate Jews from Nazi death camps was WORSE than the Nazi death camps. After all, 6 mil. were already dead, only a pitiful few were found alive! Too late--wasn't worth it. A bit of Chomsky "logic" for your FReeping consideration...

Cats? I've got a few, but I love the dogs more.
I love my wife, boys, and my brother more than the dogs.
Like I said, let an old Yankee college professor bring it on. Texas juries are fair.
Have you got a jones for this liberal?

". Why does such a dirtbag remain in this country?? Because we're the only bastards crazy enough to pay this clymer to preach this crap to our kids at the University..
In a sane world -- this clown would be castrated and fired from any position of trust..

I love my wife, boys, and my brother more than the dogs. Ok, I'll take your word for it. But that's kind of a weird thing to say. Maybe you shouldn't tell them that you love them more than your dogs.

I don't understand how even someone with Chomsky's views could regard our bombing of Afghanistan as a greater crime than Sept. 11 unless and until the death toll from our bombings exceeds that on Sept. 11, and, as far as I know, it is still nowhere close. Such argumentation of Chomsky's as the article reports seems only to lead to the conclusion that they are equal crimes. I wonder how Chomsky can justify considering the bombing a greater crime.

Chomsky is full of it. I suppose he would have been happy if the attack had succeeded to shutting down the financial center of thre world for a week and knocked the economy back for ...How long? Why can you expect from an anarchist. Ignore the ESOHBE.

Can you imagine Osama reading this SH#T in his mud hut somewhere outside Kabul. He must be eating this up. I could see him discussing it with Doctor Ayman Al-Zawahiri, his #2.
OBL: Hey Doc, I love what this infidel American professor had to say.
AAZ: You're right Osama, I couldn't have said it any better.

Yes indeed, Noam must be suffering from severe cognitive dissonance. During the VietNam War, he was quick to label anybody who disagreed with him a Nazi. Then he was one of the last to acknowledge the bestiality of Pol Pot and company. None of this phases him. He has spent an entire "adult" lifetime with no self-knowledge gained, no admission of his own wrongdoings. He strikes me as the prototypical adolescent purist, demanding perfection from the rest of his countrymen yet failing to smell his own rottenness.

Maybe you shouldn't tell them that you love them more than your dogs. I like a good glass of wine or two (or maybe three), but I do stop after that.
Maybe you ought to pull your head out of the bottle.

nice to see academic freedom alive and well at FR. lets decry PC and promote silencing power, but only when wielded by those with money.

ah yes. Its an interesting rant, one pretty much made irrelevant by reading the sentence immediately following where horowitz stops quoting chomsky.
