Sir, you are on target with your assessment of the post bombing and takeover in the region. Some folks on this network only think that bombs and bullets are the solution. When the smoke clears; what are the next steps?

Don't get me wrong, I've been pioneering the concept of bombing the shit out of these savages.

Again, what is the future of the region when the streets are swept of rubble and how are the survivors to be dealt with?

Will there be another generation of Islamic terrorists calling for a friggin jihad? If I had my way, I'd turn the entire country into another silicon valley (sand turns into silica when it gets very hot). Nukes do a good job in achieving this objective. Regardless, this was not W's objective. We have to deal with future realities in the region.

I think someone has a future pipeline on their drawingboard. Otherwise, why would we care? If our only goal in life is to ensure the stability of other countries, we would be in Africa right now. All of our troops pain and suffering in the Mid-East is about oil. Period. And now we have 6000 Americans buried under a building in New York to add to that.

Seems these days we go to war for oil or to divert attention from a pants-dropping president's...well, er...pants-dropping. This current war is just, (why Congress won't declare war as per the Constitution is another rant) and I think nukes are justified, too. They hit us first and on our own soil.

Of course, I'm not the diplomatic, restrained type. I believe that when you go to war, you should take the gloves off, hit 'em fast and as hard as you can. I can rationalize not nuking Afghanistan, but Iraq, on the other hand, should glow in the dark for 1000 years. The Palestinians can become extinct, too. No tears shed by me.
