DISNEY ACCUSED OF PLANTING FAKE CROP CIRCLES
SYDNEY, Australia (Wireless Flash) -- An Australian paranormal
researcher is accusing Disney Studios of faking crop circles around
the world to promote an upcoming movie.
Paranormal researcher Tim Bull -- better known as "Tim the Yowie Man"
-- says there has been a tremendous increase in crop circles sightings
in places that usually don't have crop circles, such as South Africa.
Bull believes the bumper crop of mysterious circles is a publicity
stunt by Disney to promote "Signs," a new film starring Mel Gibson as
a farmer who discovers a crop circle on his field.
Disney spokeswoman Heidi Trotta insists the studio isn't planting crop
circles, but is happy people are thinking about the movie which will
open next summer.

If this is true it's the most creative thing they have done in a very long time.

I can't imagine anyone investing that much time, and mental and physical effort, in a mere hoax. Then you are vastly underestimating the lenghts to which someone will go for a joke.
In all the ways extraterrestial life could possibly communicate with us, what is more absurd than smushing stalks on plants, at night, in one remote corner of the world?

Thanks. I still think they are locally made (as in man) but until I know for sure, I reserve my judgment.

Thanks that you appreciate how lovely they are.
If nothing else they are beautiful.
FYI
Huge crop circle formed last night at Milk Hill in Wiltshire UK
Covers 5 acres and is made of numerous circles ....420 of them. Some of the circles are 70' across.
I saw this one the Brit ITN news today----->

Mickey Mouse's fault again?
Sumbitches...They ruined our best thread.

No way the good ones are locally made. Not unless the CIA or some other secret entity has some very very exotic tech. at their disposal. I give this a 50-50 chance.
But you know what? I will never convince hard science types of this. How hard or *impossible* they are to make in one night. Best for you all is to just enjoy the patterns I guess. No insult intended :)

Hey I'm a hard science type. LOL!!! And yes I think they are locally built. :) But as I said, I reserve judgement until its proven one way or the other.
