I saw the president´s speech last night and anytime he said anything that had a drop of testosterone in it, the crowd showed great amounts of approval. I really got the feeling he couldn´t have said anything strong enough to satisfy that particular audience.
You are right about that. As I was saying, I don't want to see us reduced to the level of thinking used by these dictators or terrorists. That's how they win.
This is still America. But there are certain things we might do in vengeance which would truly affect our national bearing, not merely the opinion the world has of us but our opinion of ourselves.
We can't let ourselves be destroyed by animals. Or be reduced to behaving like animals. Then we have lost what was most worthwhile in this country.
The President is right about justice. And he's right that we need to go on with our lives. We can't live in fear like the Israelis and many others.

Grim prediction but hardly unanswerable.....
Al Queda is harbored by a variety of nations that will promptly cease to exist once the first nuke is set off.....We know who they are and despite "diplomatic" appearances by their government officials, our guy's have excellent intelligence regarding governmental suppport....
Fortunately, the nukes are small although devasting in the immediate area of detonation, fairly limited in overall scope...
Unfortunately, we may have to absorb several hits prior to seeing a end to this.....
If we back down, civilization will cease to exist....Why? Because islamic fundelmentalism will spread like wild fire throughout the world emboldened by our lack of response.....Nations, such as Pakistan will surrender their nuclear arsenal and DELIVERY systems to the fundementalists......Oil will be used to further extort and debilitate the West.....Their goal is our ultimate and total destruction, there is no negotiations or amicable surrender. They want each of us dead, our wives, children and babies DEAD! Understand, there is no peaceful co-existence......
Our options are limited to only one response, absorb the hits and overwhelmingly retaliate in kind...
Your scenario of our response is far off mark (except if AlGore was in office).......

The problems arise when the terorists begin a propaganda campaign through pakistan and the rest of the world begins to panic, and ramble on until fear strikes out and paralyzes a nation. America must finish the job of rounding up and eliminating the terrorist cells on our soil and around the middle east. If they have such weapons, stopping what we have begun would be more destructive in the long run. We are at WAR and the time to finsh them is now! OPS4

This is getting ridiculous. This whole suitcase nukes story is the worst urban legend. If terrorists had suitcase nukes here in the states, like DEBKA claims, why would they be sitting on them? The nukes would have already been used.

ABC news is DEBKA?

Pretty much. Our mainstream media has achieved that magnitude of tabloid-ness.

Dirty nuke bombs exist. Thet are more accuratly named radiation poisoning weapons. As for suitcase nukes, time will tell.
