Here is a smaller version of the compelling aerial photo
which is linked from Virginia Postrel's www.dynamist.com (aka www.vpostrel.com)
OVERVIEW: This page displays a huge aerial photo of the devastation at Ground Zero.
(It's a big file, so be patient waiting for the download.) [Posted 11/7.]

Make that Michael Barone, who, if he lunged across the set of The McLaughlin Group and choked the life out of Eleanor Clift, would not be prosecuted in any court in America.

Thanks for the ping! What a photo.
On another topic, do you have a link where I can listen to Hugh via the Internet??? The Sacramento Station's (KTKZ) feed is horrible.
THANKS!

Hi RonDog!
The real bottom line of changing the image dimensions like that is, if you set them to view at width=67 height=67 or width=16760000 height=16720000, the image is still 699194 bytes in size and will take the same amount of time to download either way.
But, the larger you set it to view from the original dimensions, the more distorted it will appear. :-)

Thanks, guru! That's what I thought. The only difference would be if I could have found a smaller .jpg file post.

Whats the deal with Postrel?
She is said to be very well liked by the libertarians. Hugh likes her. Many FReepers, too.
Hugh posted her web address in today's "Message of the Day" on his website, and I found this neat picture there.
She is hard for me to listen to. (Not sure why.)

Good idea! Print out some "USO Canteen FReeper Style" threads - and send them, too.

That's an incredibly sad horrid picture. Such a waste...such a wake-up call, eh? RonDog, thanks. Tell Hugh (hehe) thanks for all he does.

"I think the American people, and the world, need to see Ground Zerothe way it really looks, not the distant, sanitized version for TV and tourists. They tell us they don't show us out of respect for the families of the thousands of people who were crushed, pulverized, or blown to bits. Maybe they're right, but if it was me, or my loved ones, I would want the world to see the slaughter of the innocents." Somehow, I got on some Leftist's spam list and received a huge e-mail screed about how awful the U.S. is to be bombing Red Cross Hospitals, Afghan children, etc. I replied by sending them the URL of the "big picture." Thanks for providing the perfect reply -- one picture IS worth a thousand words!
