Well, he may be a liberal democrat but, this time with the Republican label, he's "our" liberal democrat. It's going to be interesting to watch a big-time Clinton supporter have to use the best of supply-side economics to re-build a city.

Why are so many willing to celebrate a liberal Republican winning? Wouldn't you just as soon let the Democrat offend the public senses with his extremism, than have Bloomberg's liberal ways be picked up as "mainstream" through the press?

Think about it. Usually, it seems clear to me, it's better to have an offensive, divisive Democrat "Hillary-type" or "Moseley-Braun-type" in office for a few years than a Republican who will vote for the same culture-of-death policies and perhaps become entrenched in office....

Watching hideous establishment-leftist Republican governors dominate Illinois for decades now, I speak from experience.
