The FBI says bumbling California Gov. Gray Davis' fears of terrorist attacks on bridges are bogus, but he says he'll continue to err ... "on the side of cautionHeightened security will remain around four bridges, Davis said today, even after the feds said a warning about a possible terrorist plot targeting suspension bridges in the West between Nov. 2 and Wednesday was "not credible" after all.
Davis startled U.S. officials last week by announcing the threat.
I have the responsibility to keep Californians safe, and I'm going to err on the side of caution and keep the National Guard on those bridges," Davis insisted. The governor received criticism for broadcasting an advisory that was based on uncorroborated information and had not been meant for public release.
Davis said he chose to let people decide for themselves whether to avoid the bridges. "I wanted to treat Californians as adults
Defending his action, he said: "The intelligence community has to deal with some pretty scuzzy people. Some times they will totally BS you, and sometimes they will tell you the truth."
Doesn't he make the demorats look good.........lololol

Wonder if he got his information from Homeland Security Sub-Committee member and former pal, Gary Condit?

I suspected that Davis made this announcment when he did because his main competitor, Bill Simon, announced his candidacy for governor the same day. Riordan announced his candidacy today.Gov. Gray Davis Issues New Threat
