Hi RooRoobird! It was a great game.
Gotta question for ya. Any idea why they didn't close the roof when it started to rain?

Hi, Susangirl. The rain actually looked worse than it was. It was just a very fine drizzle-- nobody really got wet from it. I think if the rain had come down any harder, they would have closed the roof.
It was a BEAUTIFUL NIGHT, weather-wise, game-wise.

Any idea why they didn't close the roof when it started to rain? That decision is left to the MLB PTB, I believe. The rain was pretty sporadic. They probably don't close it in the middle of an inning to be fair to both teams - make them both deal with the rain.

"Gotta question for ya. Any idea why they didn't close the roof when it started to rain?" In Arizona, rain is a cause for celebration. You see dancing in the streets while the water comes down from the heavens.
Others may have seen it as a bad omen when the drizzle started, but not I. I knew we were being smiled upon.
