That's an oddly anthrocentric statement. Insects are not beings or organisms like you and I. I've personally watched while one insect fed unaware, actually being eaten by another insect. To apply our human standards of morality or consciousness to insects in support of the view that therefore any creator god would have to be unjust or uncaring seems to be hasty. Silly as it sounds, perhaps insects don't much mind living or dying like insects. Perhaps they really don't much mind anything at all.
