I can tell you're a real enthusiast going with a common scale for your collection 1/72. I will mention it to Andy. I have another nephew - David - in Ohio, a 7 year old who is really into building things. He started early with Legos but I bought an F16A ( 1/48 - Monogram ) and we put it together over several visits. I was amzed at his patience & attention to the details of painting. I did most of the adhesive work. His sister Faith ( who is really MY sweetheart ) wanted in on the action too. It is now suspended, rotating for takoff in the hall outside their rooms.

I bought him an SB2C Helldiver ( also 1/48 Monogram ) for the fact that the gear retracts, the hook works, the wings fold, the canopies slide, the bomb bay doors work and the 500 lb bomb drops. He & his dad put that one together . His new interest is in all things explosive and we spent a whole day at WPAFB looking at the various munitions.
