I believe Hersh was the author of the false story that George Bush (41) flew to Paris and negotiated
with Iran to keep the hostages in custody during the 1980 campaign.

He may be right in these current stories, but I don't trust him.

All reports from intelligence sources have to be read with a grain of salt. Hersh passes on what he hears from lower level types. Sometimes its wrong.

Hersch was also the guy who dumped the load on the 24ID for operations in the Gulf War claiming they were out to pick a fight with the defenseless Iraqi Guards Divisions fleeing Kuwait and that they fired upon these helpless military units with unjustified savagery and producing unnecessary bloodshed...yada, yada, yada. Hersch is pantload and no friend of the military.

Hersch was responsible for the false "October Surprise" story? If true, that throws his credibility right into trashcan.
