Cool boat. Yes, I am proud he is my relative. He went down on the Pickerel, I just remembered the name of it. And there was a scandal involved. Seems some congressman blabbed about how the Japanese were dropping charges or whatever they were called at a shallow depth and missing our subs. This this blabby congressman announced that on the radio saying our guys weren't getting hit because they were deeper, I think he even gave the depth. Shortly after that the japanese got a bunch of our subs, my cousin's among the ones. They were never found but it was felt the congressman was instrumental in his death. Sort of like now isn't it.

Wow, blam, I didn't know that you were a Tincan Sailor! That is just too cool. All military personnel are heroes to me, especially fighter pilots - but it takes a special kind of person to serve aboard a submarine (in my opinion, anyway).

Here are some "war stories" that you might like to see.
