Oh really? A wave of teachers killed by magic, how did I miss that little news item?

BTW kids were interested in magic and such when I was a kid...this was well before the Potter books existed. Everybody grew out of it by high school.

Citation, please. I'm just finishing the series for the third time, and I can't for the life of me recall when that happens. In which book exactly does attempted teacher-cappin occur?
