yeah, but this is not exactly the hight of tourisim for disneyworld anyways, is it???

Nah, this would cause major, major nuking over there. They don't want to do anything that will cause us to nuke. They surprised us with WTC and it took time to respond, in their favor. With time, heads got cooler. Now if those guys do anything to a bunch of kids at Disneyworld especially involving nuclear waste, there would be no doubt as to the response. And crying kids in afghanistan wouldn't make a bit of difference.

You don't think London is next up? Who cares about Florida? I say either heartland, major west coast city or London. Hopefully, this will provoke the required tactical nuclear response. Let's roll.

Check--->The tin foil-hat supply.
I think your watching way too much X-files.
Disneyworld certainly could be a target. But, I think blowing the four major bridges in Kalfornia would have a much larger impact on several levels.

I don't know about this as a great idea for terrorist groups of global reach. Disney stock already took a pretty good hit after WTC911.
Stay alert, but not fearful. Keep an eye on those characters in the park that wear full-body costumes. Don't make any quick moves, Mickey.

I think you may be on to something with the cropduster/plane angle. However, I think the west coast is probably right.
I just can´t stop thinking about those four backpackers here in Phoenix with the bright orange backpacks chanting at 4am on top of Squaw Peak...

what is it that makes Florida he target? Disney? The Keys? FSU or UF? Despite being representative of the nation, Flordia is too cheap, too, meaningless to worry over, IMHO. Of course, that doesn't make me brilliant. It does mean that I am able to observe matters of import, ascertain the distinction, and most likey, just go fishing there next year. Nah. dai

"All clues point to Florida"Aw man! Now what!?!?!?!
The kid's back in Cuba, we fixed the ballots, shut down the Enquirer building, and Reno don't have a chance.....
What the hell else could be wrong?
i remember the days in miami, not too long ago, when finding an envelope with some white powder in it was a good thing....

One other thing about Florida that keeps popping into my mind.
Who is the Governor of Florida?

Florida is probably the safest state to reside in at this time, believe it or not. Here in FL, Gov. Jeb Bush is on top of the situation:
"GOVERNOR BUSH ANNOUNCES FLORIDA NATIONAL GUARD SUPPORT FOR PORTS AND NUCLEAR PLANTS
~~National Guard troops to provide enhanced security at high risk facilities~~ MIAMI- Governor Jeb Bush has directed the Florida National Guard to expand its role in providing temporary security assistance at several of Floridas seaports and nuclear plant facilities. The Governor took this action in response to the ongoing security assessments by state and local law enforcement.
[More Info at: www.myflorida.com, Florida's official state web site.]"

>I also hope they are protecting Disneyworld.Okay. Well, IF you want to put together a REAL NIFTY tin foil conspiracy around Florida, you may want to link up with at least one other really glittering tin foil theory that's been around for a long time.
Here's the link as I see it.
Famous directory Jim Cameron made a movie called TRUE LIES about an ISLAMIC TERRORIST group in south Florida that sets off a nuclear bomb down in the Keys to prove that they are nuclear capable.
Now, James Cameron has been linked -- in a tin foil way -- to the CIA's MK-Ultra program. See the famous (infamous) James Cameron Conspiracy Page.
The theory is -- for people who don't want to wade through the above link -- is that Cameron functions as a kind of "mouth piece" for "true lies" (get it?!) that the "Establishment" wants to get out to people sharp enough to recognize the clues. The Islamic Revolution. The bomb in Florida. And, most importantly, the whole Titanic metaphor -- i.e., that the social order as we know it has hit an ice berg and is going down. (Note that this same theme was echoed in the Unibomber's second essay... And it also appears on this Christian website that has been linked to military intelligence: A Sinking Ship! Get OFF Before It's Too Late)
Dig it.

Our economy has already tanked due to 9-11. If we are directly attacked, it will be because Jeb is the brother of the President. Maybe California stuff is a trick. I worry about Fla too. We may be having a hurricane shortly. That's enough trouble. And then there's still people afraid of the shark frenzy by the media. Not that I actually swim in the Gulf myself. I don't want to step on anything wiggly.

Remember this story:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/fr/547440/post (sorry my links don't work)
It was about a terrorist letter postmarked St. Petersburg, Florida about anthrax and it mentioned Oklahoma, 18 wheeler, Ryder truck, Skyway bridge and blow up. Have you heard anything more about it?

To take this beyond the 'thinking out loud' level, you'd need evidence of unusually heavy purchases of Disney put options.
Which there doesn't appear to be...
To: kingh99
This would destroy the economies of Orlando, Cocoa Beach, and Melbourne, then blow out to sea, but as for the rest of country? Saving their money and spending it on food and antibiotics instead of Disneyworld could be a boon to the rest of the country.
Apologies to my formerly fellow central Floridians.
