Crowd Goes Nuts Over President Bush At Yankee Stadium
Fox ^

Posted on 10/30/2001 4:27:15 PM PST by hawaiian

I hope everyone just got a chance to see President Bush just now at the World Series. The whole crowd was chanting "USA" and giving him a standing ovation. He threw a perfect strike, and he was absolutely magical.

For everyone's information, the middle picture in post 270 is from MILLER PARK in Milwaukee in April of 2001, when President Bush threw out the first pitch at the Brewers' home opener. Challenger was there that night too. Glad to see Yankees copy our beloved Brewers!

You could be right about the F-14's, I saw the twin engines and thought F-15.

He's right, they are Grummy F-14 Tomcats.

"...Madeline Albright is sniffling her "we had no support of the American people" crap..."

I'm still believing that Madeline Not-Too-Bright is only Hitlery in stage-makeup.
I mean...you never see both of 'em at the same parties........

In the end, our liberty depends on us making the best evaluations we can without information. No matter how much the habitual liars in Washington tell us they know better. It is not a question that we are lied too, it is only a question as to what the lie is.

Dadgummit! I had to leave the office just as the game started (to give a coworker a ride to her mechanic) and I whipped out my watchman to view as we went on our way. Those blasted batteries were on their last legs. We drove along frantically trying to change the batteries (we're in earthquake country, so I have plenty of those within reach) but the timing was off. He had already done his thing by the time we put another set in. AAARRRGGGHHHH! I will now mow through all news broadcasts tonight to hopefully get the feeling of the moment that I missed. I am glad that the evening went so well for the President that I love so well.

I was stationed at Edwards AFB in the 80s. Test Pilot School. Test Aircraft Programs. NASA facility. Used to sit on the roof of my barracks, drinking a beer and watching the Space Shuttle land. Those were the days...

You haven't really lived until you've watched an F-15 Eagle accelerate in a pure vertical climb, then kick in the afterburners. What a rush.

...Peter Jennings predicted that W. would be booed because of his statement that he always roots for whoever (whomever?) plays against the Yankees....then he chuckles and said, "then we know things are back to normal in NYC"...

Hmmm, Peter Jennings thinks the crowd at the stadium would be more loyal to a baseball team -- the Yankees -- than to our commander in chief who leads our great country in a time of war.

Jennings is a boob!

Thanks for this information. I was wondering about that... it certainly isn't Yankee Stadium. What a great photo.
