You should not alarm people with headlines like that, there was already a thread on the news conference, and 1 more case does not mean an outbreak.Many people will run to this thread thinking its really something huge, and its not.

This was meant for the people in that city. I happen to care what happens to New Yorkers, dang Yankees though they be. :)
And let us all clear away our naivete enough to understand that what is in NYC and the Beltway right now will only spread across the country more and more in the days and weeks ahead. It's only starting. And as many have said, this may well be just a distraction while the real events are planned.
This is not directed at you in particular, but I for one am glad that people jump on here and post things as soon as they start breaking. I don't mind sorting the facts as they come in and I really get tired of the Sourcing Police who feel it's their obligation to shoot down everyone who can't immediately produce an ironclad source for something they've seen reported.
Keep the heads-up coming, folks!

I MEANT...that the news conf was for the people in NYC.
Those people in here saying "THAT IS ALL" failed to realize that this was not meant to be a NATIONAL news conference.
It was simply meant for the people in that area.
I do not have an issue with the threads of course. The title I do..but that is a different subject.

You are correct. FOX did indeed cover it (internationally as well as nationally) and it is legitimate breaking news. Drudge, however, bless his heart, seems to be asleep on this one as I type...
Not to be alarmist, but... I have 2 questions:
1) Are the CDC people absolutely sure that anthrax in all its variants is NOT contagious?
2) What is the "FRF" - - Free Republic Feedback - - on the so-called "World Trade Center Cough" which FOX was going on about last evening?

Isn't NBC studio for Brokaw in NYC? It isn't like this is the first case or soemthin'. Sheesh, New Yorkers are heartier stock than this ... get a grip folks, I'm absolutely certain New Yorkers are pissed, not scared!

IMHO after breathing the smoke from the towers for what 3 weeks now? My guess is that NY is having one giant asthma attack or at least suffering from irratated airways.
