Yes, a Croc' hunter show called - "REVENGE OF THE CROCODILES.

Real math?

Okay, it weighs 18,000 lbs. The density of regular water (not salt) is 62.4 lb/ft3. So the volume of the beast to be able to float in regular water must be 288.4 cubic feet.

They said its mouth was 4 foot in diameter. So lets assume a simple cylindrical shape, 4 foot in diameter. The cross sectional area of this shape is 12.5 square feet (=PI/4*Diameter^2).

That means the beasty would only have to be 23 feet long to be able to float in fresh water.

More to the point? How many croc hunters could it eat in one bite.

CROC HUNTER TWO:

Okay, now who posted that claim of 32,400 psi just when walking?... Lets correct this simple math error.

The beast weighs 18,000 lbs.

Let us give it four feet, and each foot is one square foot in size !

Y'all with me so far? This assumed feet size is much smaller than the other posters claim.

Now, PSI is pounds force per square inch. So we have to convert this foot size over to square inches. So multiply it by 12 twice.

So each foot is 144 square inches.

So the Pressure exerted if the beastie stood on one of these 144 in2 feet would be only 125 PSI. Thats 18,000 lbs / 144 in2.

And the beastie is normaly on two feet, so that would reduce its pressure to 62 PSI.

By way of comparison, a man weighing 200 lbs with a 12" by 4" wide foot. The area of the foot is 48 in2. So if he is standing on one foot, then he would be exerting 4.1 PSI.

Now, to exert the same force as a man on the ground, this beastie would have to have a foot that is 4,320 square inches. Basically, the foot would need to be five and a half feet by five and a half feet. (or 30 square feet)

Ok James. Assume you were a croc hunter. What real life rifle would you pack to meet this dude. Stopping this critter is pretty close to going up against a T-Rex.
