DoD needs to be acknowledging our dead. We shouldn't be learning about them from the Frontier Post in Pakistan.

I thought those 2 were home already? This reeks of garbage...
To: Ranger
And they weren't pilots either.

So are these the pilots of the chopper where two PASSENGERS were reported killed? A lot of folks remarked that sounded fishy, only passengers killed and not pilots.

And the Frontier Post of Pakistan is more credible than our DoD because ...? Because it's deliciously scandalous to think so, silly.
Now ... back to discussing that other thread with the cleavage.... You suppose the Taliban might be willing to look into er, consider marketing a "WonderBurkha"?

Why should the DoD acknowledge something that doesn't exist?

Frontier Post is generally considered reliable and from my recent observations of their stories, they seem very solid as it relates to their region. As to the story changing, yes one report said there were 9 caskets of US troops from Afghanistan in the morgue. This story says that 4 were now shipped to the U.S. with two related to the helicopter crash. It references them as the pilots but other reports listed them as passengers. I tend to think 2 were passengers. Perhaps there are more fatalities from the crash or a different helicopter crash is being referenced?

If true....they have my deepest respect.

Yeah. I think you are on to something here. The U.S. has a pretty strong record of letting other countries recover their war dead. Especially countries they aren't really at war with. My guess is these are Special Ops guys killed by maniacal Taliban "warriors" who were left to rot in Afghanistan. The Taliban could find absolutely no way to use the bodies of dead spec ops guys for propoganda so they quietly turned them over to a nice Pakistani funeral home. Glad to see you are right on top of things here.

Nothing against you, but it sounds like BS.

Oh yeah, I always say "trust the Frontier Post of Pakistan first".
This should have been posted under "humor".

Hey, cut him some slack. He goes by Ranger, but doesn't say what kind. I'm guessing Forest Ranger. Maybe he's a fan of Walker, Texas Ranger. How about that little raccoon, Ranger Rick.

In other words, it is inconceivable, a mathematical impossibility, that the United States could possibly suffer any fatal military casulties during very risky special operations on the ground, against a fierce opponent, when such deaths would probably have to be played down or not publicly acknowledged.
Now I understand. Sure there could be disinfo out there in Pak. The story could also be true, too.
To: Ranger
PerhapsThe operative word. And perhaps the other two coffins are being returned to the manufacturer for substandard assembly.
