My 8 year old watches Fox Kids most Saturdays. Do you get up at 6 am to take your kids to the library? That's when my kids get up, and I am not going to be ashamed that they turn on the TV instead of waking me up at the crack of dawn. My parents did not have to worry about us seeing anything other than cereal ads. Saturday morning was the one time my hard working parents could catch a break from five crazy kids running them ragged. It's no different now, except that now we have to worry about crap like this being fed to our kids during cartoon shows!
Sat morning cartoon shows have been filled with crap for decades now. The half-hour toy commercials which pretend to be entertainment shows are a vicious influence on kids, in IMHO. An ad (directed at parents, not kids) which offends your political sensibilities is far less dangerous.
