PRES. BUSH MUST HEAR FROM US, NOW! (America Must Not Abandon Israel!)
Capitol Hill Prayer Alert ^ | 10/25/01

Posted on 10/25/2001 7:17:34 PM PDT by truthandlife

And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan (Exodus 6:3-4).

Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel (Eze 11:17)

The Bush administration's shifting policy toward Israel, including support for a Palestinian State, should be of grave concern to every Bible-believing American. U.S. policy, which effectively opposes Israel's right to self-defense, is so thoroughly hypocritical, especially in light of the U.S. action in Afghanistan, that even Congressional Democrats who favor a Palestinian state are reacting to it. But far more important:

--God's covenant with the Jewish people regarding their inheritance of the land of Israel is one of the most frequently mentioned themes in Holy Scripture. God will keep His promises. American Christians must not stand idly by and allow our young-Christian President to be hoodwinked by advisors who do not know the Bible or the God of the Bible (see Gen 15:18; 17:8; 28:13-15; 35:1213; Dt 30:1-6; Jer 11:5; 30:3; 32:37-33:26; Eze 11:16-17; 20:41-44; 34:12-13; 36:22-24; 38:8; 39:25-28; 47:13-48:35; Amos 9:13-15; Zec 7:14; 8:1-8).

--God is watching. Although He lifted His Hand to allow the terrible attacks that have led to the present war, we believe His hand of protection has not been removed totally. But we also believe that if we abandon Israel, whether motivated by oil, military or political strategy or for our own nation's self preservation, it will be "the last straw" for America. God's hedge, upon which we depend, could be lifted from our beloved land altogether. God is Judge of all nations! (Ps 9:17; 82:1; Is 2:4a; Zec 2:7-13; 12:3; 14:3).

God warned Israel not to trust in horses or chariots but to trust in the Lord our God. America must do likewise and stand by Israel even if it means alienating many others. If we bend, in the long run, these nations will hate us still and we will have lost everything - including God's favor. Although the administration is vacillating and may appear to be shoring up its commitment to Israel, President Bush needs to hear from each of us. Please take time right away to write President Bush a letter from your own heart. A letter is better than a fax, a fax better than a phone call, a phone call better than an email. This simple act could be the most important of your life. (White House mail is being processed, albeit slowly, because of the anthrax attacks. But don't let this deter you from writing.)

Write: The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20500

Call or Fax: The White House Switchboard - 202-456-1414, Fax - 202-456-2461

Please Join us in Prevailing Prayer:

--Heavenly Father, SPEAK to our President! Cause men & women of God from across America & from around the world to make an EFFECTIVE APPEAL. May George Bush HEAR Your Voice, LEARN Your Word and DO Your Will. May the U.S. remain immovably loyal to Israel. In Jesus' Name. Amen (1 Kg 22:5, 13; 2 Kg 22:18-19; Es 4:14; Pr 21:1; Is 30:21; Mt 6:10; 1 Cor 15:58).

A little off subject...

Why do so many posts refer to God as G-d? Anyone? Thanks...

Thanks for giving the reasons why we should not support Israel.

As if Israel matters. I could care. My concern is my country. You want to help Israel, book a tour there. I hear they are running out of American tourists.

Oh..and just in case you haven't noticed, everything we are doing will help Israel. And that is fine with me.

"Dear Pres. Bush:

"I support you 100% in your efforts to put American defense and American security FIRST before that of any other country.

"If that means you tell Israel to go to h*ll, then do it.

"If that means you need to warn Egypt and Saudi Arabia--two more 'friends' the 'quality' of which leads us to believe we don't need enemies--that we may soon be persuaded to kick THEM in the *ss, then go to it!

"Above all, Mr. President, let's stop worrying about these erstwhile 'allies' who care only about their parochial concerns and are patently unwilling to see the big picture, which is that without U.S. help their governments would have long ago collapsed and their economies laid in ruins.

"Do not persuaded, sir, either by those who would tell you we need to appease these Arab 'friends,' nor those who tell you we have some sort of 'moral obligation' to continue to prop up that socialist pigpen called Israel.

"Sincerely, your very good friend and fellow Texan,

"Illbay"

Jews are God's chosen people...they're "covered" regardless.

You have it backwards. We are not "G-D's chosen people". We chose G-D, not the other way around. And only those who fulfill their part of the Covenent will reap the rewards. Gentiles have only to fulfill the Noachide laws to benefit. It's a lot easier for you to enter heaven than for me.

Don't call us "Fundys" or extremists. It isn't called for, and is decidedly "unChristian".

It is a mark of respect not to write the Name on anything which will be destroyed.

I am confused - are you implying Arabs are evil and are not worthy of entering Jerusalem? In addition, why is someone who disagrees with our support of Israel branded "evil"? Israel must come to terms with the fact that Jerusalem is not theirs and never should have been. Muslims, Christians, and Jews should share these holy cities and not allow one religion to dominate or control these lands, despite what your God says. Ask yourself this - What is fair and why is Israel so unwilling to share these sacred places?

Yes, s.g., but you see you're talking "that ol' time religion." Most of the New-Age Philosophies of Man Mingled with Scripture that infest FR haven't the slightest notion what you're talking about.

Their ministers long ago fabricated this newfangled "doctrine" so Israeli tourism would abet and promote their "pilgrimages" (for which they charge BIG bucks to act as "shepherds") leading well-healed pious wannabes who think that they can buy their way to heaven by sleeping in one-star hotels and eating off the Continental plan.

Please get some perspective here. Whenever a phase-shift of this magnitude occurs, follow the money.

"We gentiles must believe that Jesus Christ is our savior to obtain the Kingdom of Heaven.

Jews are God's chosen people...they're "covered" regardless."

Hmmm... so then would conversion to Judaism gain one this coverage of "the chosen"?

Does anyone know how many convert to Judaism?

Is most of Judaism characterized by the same level of apostasy as most protestant denominations?

Where does Judaism stand on abortion?

Thanks...

Thank you for posting this Truthandlife. It needs to be said. Even if some ignore the message, God will not.

Israel lost it's conditional promise to the land when they committed the awesome act of rejecting their Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. They said let His blood be on their heads. God accepted that and cut them off in A.D. 70. They are no longer God's chosen people and have no more right to the land than you are I do.

And we know this is true because our bibles have a "new testament" in the back of them, and are therefore an organic continuation of the Torah which G-d gave to Israel publicly before some three million people. I mean, if the "new testament" weren't part of the bible, G-d would have never allowed it to be bound with it in chr*stian versions, would he?

Yep--that's the way to prove something: just assert it.

BTW, is there anywhere in the genuine Bible that says the promise was conditional, or do you just "know" it was because later on "the very same bible" says it was meant to be?

Are the Gaelic Irish entitled to their island, or do they, too, not have any more right to it than I do?

Not off subject at all. It is a consonant/vowel thing if you notice. Vowels aren't written, just like in YHWH, depending on teachings, as it means you've used the whole name and it is considered wrong to do so by many.
Probably too short of an explanation, but I'm sure you get the gist of it.

Pres Bush's sole concern in this matter should be the welfare of the USA. He is the president of our nation, period. He can not, and should not, base his decisions about the lives of Americans on subjective interpretations of ancient religious documents.

How have the Jewish people survived all their enemies throughout thousands of years without a homeland if their G-D abandoned them?

According to your theory, then, the "Romany" people are also the elect of God, since they claim direct lineage from ancient Roman colonists, and have kept their peculiar language and customs, even while wandering nationless and despised by all in Europe and Central Asia for a couple of thousand years.

So, I guess by your say-so, we need to carve out a strip of territory somewhere for the "Gypsies" and kow-tow to their every economic whim, just like Israel, right?

Will, Don't listen to the words of someone who doesn't understand what support of Israel entails. Israel is NOT covered just because she is God's chosen. All of physical and political Israel will not be saved. All of God's remnant, true Israel, will be saved. Why? The same way anyone else is saved. Through believing in what God's Son, the Jewish Messiah, did on Calvary.

Now, as to support of Israel. God made an eternal promise to Abraham and his seed. He said "I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you." The Gentiles were made partakers of that promise at Calvary when they were "grafted in", yet the Bible speaks of physical Israel being very much a focal point during the last days before Messiah returns to reign. Some of Israel will remain lost. Some will be saved. But it is incumbent upon ALL to support her right to exist and her right to live in safety from her neighbors. If that costs taxpayer dollars, so be it. Some things are more important than the almighty buck. The sooner this nation learns that the better off we will be period.
