You are right we did,just as we rebuilt Europe..but AFTER we defeated them

ps there were no food drops to the enemy,or their children!

I don't think we're trying to defeat these kids, I think many will remember the writing and the flag on their gifts of food, they may be converted which is better than us killing them or causing them misery. I hope we're sending a lot of pro-US messages in those packages, and it would be good if Christians would also get their messages to them in the future so they can know the god of the Taliban and bin Laden is a false and evil god.

Times change. There may not have been food drops, but we started feeding German civilians as soon as we crossed the Rhein. The Russians didn't, but we did.

In the case of Japan, there were no Japanese civilians on our side of the line, at least not until Saipan, and when would could get them to stop jumping off of cliffs, we fed them, even though the war wasn't over yet.

These particular people are on our side of the line, even if we don't have any ground troops there.
