What's short bread?

I think they should have skipped the salt, pepper, and moist towlette and put more food in there. At any rate it's nice to see my tax dollars going to something usefull. I hope this gets the message accross to the innocent Afghanis (and those Americans who clearly need the lesson): you are not our enemy.

Shortbread is a Scottish cookie. Not too sweet; sort of like a thick graham cracker. I think the girlscouts sell them. Anyway, they're really good.

Here's a recipe.

I think they should have skipped the salt, pepper,

This stuff is pretty much like MREs and you want to take away the salt and pepper? Besides you need salt, although the food probably has enough in it already. I'd have added a salsa packet, just to make the glop more edible. Might not have been so bad if they could have selected something with meat in it, but then the Taliwhackers would just say the "mystery meat" was pork, even if was really beef, chicken, lamb, goat or camel. (Can you even eat Camel meat?, I've had all the rest)
