"The Taliban disarmed the Afghan population soon after seizing power in 1996 in attempt to restore peace in the war-ravaged country."
Always a good step for tyrants to take.
BTW, once they've killed the people they want to kill, they'll say these people were killed by US bombs. If they don't already have their required ZZTop beards, the Taliban will glue them on before displaying them to AL Jazeera, et al.

The Taliban disarmed the Afghan population soon after seizing power in 1996 in attempt to restore peace in the war-ravaged country. Sounds like the quiet war is having some effect after all. Re-arming the remaining citizens isn't likely to make much difference against the rangers--but it could shorten some Taliban lives by a few days.

If you listen to some sources (including Fox News tonight) the Taliban's morale is higher than ever. This report makes me doubt that.

We can make them kill each other. It won't be much longer before they will have us doing the same to ourselves.

The Taliban are professional killers, when they are unable to kill the enemy, they kill their women, when they run out of women to kill, they kill each other. This is what they do, we are just speeding things up a bit. The Cowardly Osama bin Laden will hide in his cave while he witnesses all of the Taliban diaper heads expire right before his eyes, and then we will kill him.
It's a beautiful story isn't it? kind of reminds me of one of those Hallmark Moments! how about you?

No Jews around so they're down to Muslims killing Muslims. Once again Islam eats it's own.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the report of Osama & Omar being killed by their own? Gives one reason to hope!!!

I wonder what happened to the American/European/Australian missionaries who were being held in Afghanistan?
To: kingh99
Speaking of executions, has anybody heard or seen anything about the eight western missionaries who were to be tried when the assults began?

And some people want us to make nice with the Taliban...Yeah...right.

Taliban math:
3 people equals 100 people.

The Taliban disarmed the Afghan population soon after seizing power in 1996 in attempt to restore peace in the war-ravaged country. Sure...they did it to restore peace.
HORSEFEATHERS!
They did it to eliminate any opposition.

Taliban soldiers are visiting residential neighborhoods, ordering people to report to armories to pick up weapons to fight the Americans, the agency said.
This is always a good sign, your morale is so high that you find it necessary to "recruit" replacement drones...err...Taliban soldiers.
Here's a clue...want to bet that some regular Taliban soldiers are stationed behind this new MILITIA? You know just in case the MILITIA doesn't know where to point their rifles...

We can make them kill each other.Haven't they BEEN doing that for some time?

Taliban disarmed Afghans. Look what gun control did for the Afghans. They should use those guns on the Taliban

Somehow I don't think any of these detainees are being held on "expired visa" charges...
Where's the EU outrage about these executions? Members of the EU were refusing to turn over suspects to the US if there was the possibility that those suspects could be facing the death penalty.

Ok now, since they have armed whoever did not flee, and order them to fight the americans, does that means zero civilian casualties and zero collateral damage from now on?
