retaliation would not be necessary later - that's the ticket!

If Syria won't reign in the terrorists within its borders, Israel will have to teach it a lesson.

This is a good thing we know how to gather intelligence about US allies but not enemies.

This very well could be the start of "Jacob's Trouble". Remember that yesterday there was an article posted about Israel warning the US of Egyptian troop build up on its border!

Israel is pulling back from PA areas within 48 hours after US pressure, see Ha'aretz.

I agree. This is the best news I've seen in a while. This ought to settle things down some.

...according to the US ambassador in Beirut.Hey! Hasn't our ambassador heard that "Loose lips sink ships?" I don't think that America would take too kindly to another nation's ambassador in our country giving out our military plans and strategies.
Just when I think that our State Dept can't surprise me anymore, they go and let one of our ambassadors alert the enemy of our ally as to what our ally is about to do them. I really hope that this was done with the approval of the Israeli government.

Israel is preparing to attack Syrian military positions and installations in Lebanon, according to the US ambassador in Beirut...
President George W. Bush yesterday told Foreign Minister Shimon Peres he defines Hizbullah as a terrorist group of "global reach." If the ambassador's statement was OK'ed in advance, and if W's statement is accurately reported and public, this is a doubly significant develoment:
1. The obvious implication of Israel attacking (or threatening attacks on) Syrians in Lebanon.
2. The US backing of those attacks (or threats.
Interesting... W is up to something.

I saw a thread last night about Israeli air space being shut down to allow US military transports into Jordan. The article claimed C-17's were flowing into Jordan but they showed a picture of a C-5 according to all on the thread. It was posted from that site that a lot of people do not believe.

Washington warned Lebanon not to allow the situation to escalate along its southern border with Israel. President George W. Bush yesterday told Foreign Minister Shimon Peres he defines Hizbullah as a terrorist group of "global reach."
The U.S. also appears to be directly helping Israel -- by flying in supplies.

"Israel is preparing to attack Syrian military positions and installations in Lebanon, according to the US ambassador in Beirut"
Every nation facing the terrorism must take action now. It's time to get rid of terrorism.
Israel is doing the right thing. If it waits for USA to do the job then nothing will be done. As USA is fighting their own war.
Every nation has to fight their own war.

Shaul Mofaz said yesterday Israel aims to exact "a heavy price" from Hizbullah during clashes, so that retaliation would not be necessary later.
Would it be a correct statement to say that after September 11th, the U.S. would be a bit more sympathetic regarding Terrorist attacks against Israel? I think we might. . .

More than ever we need to diligently "pray for the peace of Jerusalem" and against the dividing of Jerusalem. It will only lead to war. Pray for the president to have godly wisdom and not listen to ungodly advice about Israel. It is urgent that we do this.
