"Washington Whispers" dated 10/29/01 written by the editor PAUL BEDARD.

Is the date for an upcoming issue or is it a typo?? Just curious...

10/29/2001 is the correct date given at the web site link I gave that you can check.

I believe that the date may reflect the date on the latest issue of the US News & World Report. I am not sure if the issue is at news stands yet but in the past I have seen magazines come out with a date later than when I have bought them.

I'm sure that it is the date of the upcoming issue -- which is probably already out. USNews always dates their issues beyond the actual date of distribution.
