Pak armed forces put on red alert along international border
Islamabad, Oct 22, IRNA -- After credible about [sic]mobilization of Indian troops along the international border, Pakistan on Sunday put its armed forces on red alert, reported a local daily on Monday.

`The Frontier Post' in its issue Monday said that Pakistan has already apprised the U.S. of the situation.

"We are taking other friendly nations into confidence and telling them also that New Delhi will be solely responsible for any untoward development arising out of the unusual concentration of Indian troops along the Pak border," it quoted a senior official.

He said that Pakistani forces were fully alert and prepared to thwart any misadventure.

Military sources confirmed, the paper noted, that necessary steps had already been taken to give a befitting reply to any Indian attempt along the international border, particularly at Sialkot sector and Wahga border.
