Where are our leaders?
WE are under non-conventional attack!
We must declare the right to respond non-conventionally.
Wake up Mr. President.

Fox reporting that anthrax strain at Capitol office building not as "pure" as reported -- no one was affected other than 20-odd Daschle staffers, and no anthrax in areas other than Daschle's office. Congress will not leave town; will not be "intimidated."

Anthrax spores found in Pataki's office . . . FOX reporting right now . . .
"Weapons grade Anthrax" as now being described as the type used against the Senate (we do not know if the same grade was sent to Pataki's office) means with little doubt that some government was involved. Again, sources who are contending the following concerns as I am about to express need to get their ducks in order, but myself and others see a possible link between left-wing organizations in the USA who are fronts for Castro and support Iraq (e.g. "stop the sanctions" movement et all, actually are left wing groups who would support Iraq and the Iraqi government attacks upon the US) . . . routes of Anthrax from Iraq to Cuba to groups in Florida . . . this is the second act of War! It doesn't matter that we can provide effective remedial measures to victims of anthrax, and this isn't a really a matter of "over reacting" and with a climate of "fear" and thus giving the terrorists a "victory" unless we all act like business as usual and not say anything . . . I am not AFRAID, I am OUTRAGED - expressing this outrage isn't fear, and we should not be told by anyone, not even our own government, that we should just all be quite about this or else we are showing "fear" . . . again, I am not afraid, I am outraged and angry regarding this act of war, I want a declaration of war by Congress on any nation found who sourced this weapons grade anthrax . . .

Think of all the time the feds wasted during the past 10 years investigating people who harmed sucker fish, people who insulted fags in public, and insuring that affirmative action laws were followed. Oh, boy, all that crap really helped us, huh?

Why is not the mail stopped?

We'd better find the sender PDQ. The only comfort in this is that is should stop the Left from yammering with conspiracy theories about right-wing extremist being behind the anthrax.

For the "Chicken Littles" here at FR, we should remember that practically none of those exposed to anthrax have been identified by them walking into a doctor's surgery and saying "I don't feel good". They have all been identified by their proximity to a known site of contamination. This should tell us that the biomedical threat posed by the bacteria is, so far, lagging somewhat behind the hype and the hysteria.
To a certain extent, we are in unchartered waters here. This is something of a trial balloon for the terrorists and for us coping with it. In the future, this will be written up in medical and scientific journals as an epidemiological case study on the utility of anthrax for mass infection.
If I were a terrorist at this moment, I would be roundly pleased with the panic and hysteria caused by my actions, but rather disappointed with the biomedical consequences.

I sure am glad the FDA has kept the one plant capable of producing anthrax vaccine from operating.
What was the terrible infraction? Were they lableing the vaccine "fat free" instead of "mostly fat free"?

IT IS NOW TIME TO PRAY FOR INNOCENT VICTIMS FIRST AND THEN UNLOAD OUR FULL ARSENAL ON THESE COUNTRIES (and we know who they are) INCLUDING NUCLEAR WEAPONS. IF WE DON'T, THEN WE WILL OBVIOUSLY SEE MORE AND MORE ATTEMPTS ON AMERICAN LIVES. IF YOU AGREE JUST POST A "GOD BLESS AMERICA, GOD HAVE MERCY ON OUR ENEMY" JM
