1. the flu is a virus. The standard advice has been to NOT take antibiotics for a virus, because it will do nothing.

2. are you a doctor? At a press conference yesterday it came out that doctors are cleaning out cipro from pharmacies -- for themselves and their families. Your advice would seem to counter the advice doctors are giving themselves, and their families. What are your medical qualifications to give out this type of advice?

Heard Pataki is going to give a press conference soon and at 12:45 Daschle will be giving one.

In Daschle's office, the woman spotted the brown powder as soon as she opened the envelope that it occurred. She did not remove the letter, she placed it down, called security right away. 29 people were exposed. Notice the difference? Those were busy offices too. The stuff Daschle got was ground extremely fine professionally no matter what the spin masters are trying to tell us

We dont know if all those 29 people got the exposure from that one envelope, I suspect there may be more going on here.

Correctly analyzing something like this takes a long time and I'd consider anything other than a CDC press conference pretty suspect.

After hearing their prior press conferences, I consider the CDC very suspect. There's something scary about those people. Maybe they just need better spokesmen, but the impression I get is that they're hiding info not to protect us but because they think we're stupid. JMO.

I don't think so. NO one is suggesting we go off the deep end and start taking antibiotics. We would simply like to know that if we contract the Anthrax or are EXPOSED to it, we have the drugs available...if needed.

No positive indication in any of the people in Pataki's office, BUT THEY ARE TAKING ANTIBIOTICS.....duhhhh, "just as a precaution, and the intelligent thing to do"...a quote from Gov. Pataki himself...just now.

Pataki on now; only one test came back positive, in an area where niot many people are. But the whole office will be taking antibiotics as a precaution.

Do you think that they have some master playbook that they pull out, flip to the bioterrorism chapter and execute??? Anthrax was found in the room where the NY State police work; one letter, which may or may not be the source; policeman's area was not open to visitors and anthrax hasn't turned up anywhere else yet.

Anthrax will be cultured now and it will be 2 days before positive confirmation.

Wasn't their main focus in life supposed to be protecting the citizens of this country? We are not a country if we can't protect our own borders. But they've been much too concerned about hate crimes and racial profiling, we're still running around the world trying not to offend anyone. Anthrax has been a credible threat for some time. With all the tax money they've taken in, we now find out we are only prepared for 2 million cases in a country of 280 million? And they can't seem to figure out if it is anthrax, not anthrax, regular or premium. It seems to me they are learning "on the job". It also appears to me that they did not expect to be the first targets.
