Because he couldn't get elected dog catcher as a Liberetarian. So, for all of his supposed " principles " he runs as a Republican, and takes their money to boot. If he REALLY had " principles" , he wouldn't run under fraudulant colors. Ergo, he 's isn't anything other than a political hack , who some people here revere, for no good reason .

You should look back a little further. Ron Paul was first elected as a Republican then ran for president as a Libertarian and finally returned to the Republican fold where he belongs.

There are plenty of leftist Republicans who run under the colors, Jeffords was one, Specter, and plenty of Dems who are really Communists. Why don't you get upset about them? The knee jerk anti-libertarian crowd, what a bore.

Fraudulent colors eh? Is there some kind of bylaw in the Republican Party charter that say all members must be neo-cons? Is Paul misrepresenting his stand on the issues to his constituents who keep re-electing him over and over?

I think what eats you up is that he is the best man in your party :-)
