Spirit03 was indeed brought down. They're night fighters and the pilot chose to linger after dawn to support ground troops in danger of being overrun by saddam's forces at Kartum?, Kahrum? some durn place on the Saudi border with Kuwait, during saddam's only real assault of the Gulf war.
