All I know is the following definition of treason directly from the U.S. Constitution, Article III, Section 3:
"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court."
Bold mine, of course.
Staying awash in all this bureaucratic busywork, rituals of mourning, and public relations coddling of home grown Arabs, keeps the airwaves crackling and Americans paralyzed with fear of what the terrorists will do to them next - when we should be doing something to them...
