It seems self-protection to the extent possible is the only way to go.

I am not going to say it can not happen, but I absolutley refuse to go into panic. If we let them scare us then they have won

That's exactly the point of this thread -- know your enemy (or at least try to outhink them). If panic is the goal, then don't let them have that victory.
