Bush approves payment on back dues to United Nations,

hopes for help fighting terrorism

The Associated Press

10/5/01

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush authorized on Friday a payment on the United States' back dues to the United Nations, and said he hopes the money will enhance America's "close bond" with the international body.

Bush signed a Senate bill authorizing the second of three payments of the arrears. Bush said the payment fulfills the commitment he made to U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan in March.

The House approved paying $582 million in back dues late last month, just hours after Annan called for the United Nations to play a major role in the fight against terrorism. In his signing statement, Bush referred to the body's key role in "eliminating sources of funding for terrorist operations."

"This release of funds will enhance the close bond between the United States and the United Nations, and will help to facilitate the work the United States carries out in concert with other U.N. members," Bush said.

In 1999, Congress passed a law stipulating that the United States would pay $926 million in back dues if the United Nations reformed its huge bureaucracy and cut the U.S. share of its financial burden. The money has been set aside, but only $100 million had been sent.

I am not for funding the U.N. but this was an agreement he had nothing to do with and Congress agreed to this and when I sign a contract, I consider that my word and promise to keep. As much as I dislike the notion of giving the U.N. a thin dime, we signed the deal, or should I say Klinton signed the deal.

As much as I hate the U.N. we don't need the matter like back dues becomming an issue when we could be facing 1 billion Muslims waging a holy war against us. We will lead this effort to eliminate these cells of terrorist, and I think I am correct when I say Bush has not asked them to lead this effort, unlike "Desert Storm" where we let a U.N. resolution decide when we ended the war. We have an open ended right to do what it takes to stop the threat of terrorism right now.

I'm with ya bud, I'm just a tad more optimistic that's all

The NWO has both major parties by the short hairs.

The appropriation bill to pay off the UN came from alleged anti-UN Sen. Jesse Helms - just after his photo-op finger wagging speech to the UN General Assembly, and just prior to his announcing his retirement.

Good 'ole Jesse. His committee passed on to the marxist senate 34 treaties - all of which were passed by a voice vote of those present.

America is being sold out everyday of the week, and now, when we are at war, and Bush put that money sucking leach on notice today that he will take this war to any nation he decides as necessary, we learn these back stabbing traitors, who would have never gained their wealth if they made clear their hidden agenda, are going to wage war against us on our airwaves, by presenting this boot licker as a wise 'ole man come down from the mountain to save us from our well meaning but otherwise nincompoop commander-in-chief. I say do not let that program air for national security reasons.

America is at war, and we are allowing our airwaves to be used by anti-American propagandists who intend to implant doubt, fear and distrust into our nation.

This is psychological warfare aimed at defeating our intent to put a halt to the continuous terrorist attacks on Americans and our military personnel. We started walking a trail of defeat beginning with a truck bombing that took the lives of 268 servicemen. America offered no response.

The UN did nothing when China overran Tibet, when the Soviet Union crushed revolts for independence in Hungry and Poland, and will do nothing about our declaration to go anywhere and do anything we decide necessary to put an end to the slime that brought death to New York and military personnel in the Pentagon.

Why?

Because like Cronkite, Helms, and Turner and other anti-Americans of their hypercritical kind, the UN "is" - only so long as American taxpayers keep forking over the cash to make it so. In reality, it is a utopian wet dream. Nothing more.

Every damn bit of anti-American legislation passed by the two major parties - be it transferring American land over to the UN or relinquishing sovereignty by agreeing to set aside the Constitution as the foundation of all law governing the affairs of America - is illegal - is null and void on its face and clear evidence of their failure to hold to their oath of office - treason.

And they dare stand before America to tell us what is best for us.

In a pig's eye.
