Yes! A grassroots effort may be more successful than any official campaign from the Republican party. The press will not support the Republican efforts, getting ad space would be a problem and coming from the people of NC, the Dems. wouldn't be able to holler party politics and blame the "mean-spirited" Republicans.

Follow the N.C.Insider coverage of the Faircloth/Edwards race. Edwards smooth lies and divisive rhetoric angered his opponent so much that in the end Edwards appeared a sweet and reasonable man next to a bitter rival.

NC residents can and should attack him on his voting record and hypocrisy. They had nothing to go on except his word during election '98, no previous political experience to expose his true agenda.

How to get the word to the people? The press will continue to portray him as a moderate and caring champion of the people. The NC Freepers have a tough job on their hands. Any e-mail addresses for local and state NC papers, organizations would be welcome for us out-of-staters who understand the importance of getting the truth out to the NC voters and exposing Edwards.

From time to time, over the next months, repeat your message containing the details of his record on this site and on other conservative sites, requesting NCarolinians and others to provide assistance. This needs to be an ongoing effort prior to the beginning of the next election cycle, or it will be too late.
