The anthrax outbreak also reminds me of the way that toxic shock syndrome first appeared in the early 80's. I also remember the onslaught of legionnaires' disease. This could be some new strain of something other disease with similar symptoms.

You must be still sleepy. Anthrax is anthrax. No new disease, or the CDC would know it. And, it isn't very hard to diagnose.
It doesn't get missed, folks. Totally normal to want a less frightening explanation, but it just isn't there.

Bump for this one, and you are right. Legionnaires gets personal with me, was at the ARRL convention in the same hotel before the Legion was there, and got pretty worried when I came down with a cold.
This forum is worth more than it's weight in gold here because at least we are brainstorming with the information, not hiding it like the press.
