After Bonds' fly out in his 3rd ab, his slugging pctg is .865. Ruth's Major League record for Slugging was .847, set in 1920. The next highest total for any man besides Ruth is Lou Gehrig, with .765 in 1927. The National League record was .753 by McGwire in '98.

Barry's on base percentage is now .514! The old NL record was .507 by Rogers Hornsby in 1924, when he set the Major League hitting record of .424.

No one has been on base more than 50% of the time since Mickey Mantle and Williams did it in 1957. Bonds, Hornsby, and John McGraw are the only National leagers to do it, since 1900. Ruth Williams, and Mantle are the only American Leagers.

This all puts Bonds' OPS (on-base plus slugging) at 1.3796. Ruth's record, also set in 1920, is 1.3791! (We'll see what happens in Bonds' next ab)The next highest total for anyone other than Ruth or Bonds is Ted Williams' 1.2860 in1941.
