[history]
October 5, 2001 -- AFTER seven months, Ariel Sharon finally had enough.
Since he took office, he's followed the U.S. line - talking peace with the Palestinians and agreeing to concession after concession.
In the grim days that followed the attacks on America, he even OK'd a meeting between his foreign minister, Shimon Peres, and Yasser Arafat - at the urgent request of Colin Powell.

Israel is trying to be helpful, but we are wimping out. The actions of our leaders is starting to look disgraceful.

After that conversation, Sharon took a phone call from German Foreign Minister Joschka Fisher, who told him to make more concessions to Arafat in the name of the coalition. That's a funny one. The Germans lecturing the Jews about how to respond to aggression.

Dammit. I am sick of every other nation showing balls in this "war on terrorism" accept the U.S. If Saudi Arabia doesn't let us use their bases, we can take them by force. If the Arabs won't let us go after Saddam, we can go after the whole lot of them. We have the power. It's time to use it.

When Sharon warned yesterday that Israel will not be "sacrificed" by its allies the way Czechoslovakia was abandoned by its "friends" to appease Hitler, he was not addressing the State Department - which he's convinced is run by Arab sympathizers. He was not even speaking to Powell, who he feels is caught in the middle between his underlings at State and the president.
Sharon was making a desperate effort to convince Bush, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and Vice President Dick Cheney that it's time they changed their thinking.
I'm not sure what to make of that. Are we supposed to infer that Mideast policy decisions aren't coming from the top, but from the middle?

Umm. The fact of the matter is that Israel is still the
only democratic government in the middle-east. That fact alone makes their government worthy of American support.
So why don't you move? I suggest Cuba.

Go Isreal....or next it may be Germany calling us to tell us to give Texas back to Mexico after Mexico sends terrorists to kill kids in our playgrounds and our Pizza Huts after soccer games.

This is the perfect time for Sharon to refuse all financial aid from the US and I hope he has what it takes to do it. Now. Israel does not need it. It is strong militarily and financially. The time has come.

Macroman Ill give you the micro
Washington spent only about 1.25 dollars per U.S. citizen on development and humanitarian aid and peacekeeping abroad, it exported weapons worth more than two dollars per citizen to foreign countries, often the same nations to which it provides the bulk of its aid.
Israel represents less then 2 cents in the support, but more then 10 Cents in spending in the US. .
Ill leaves you with the ROI calculation

Stifle yourself traitorous fool. It ain't all about oil. Israel and the US have common interests. Israel has given the USA a ton of great intelligence since the 911 mass murder. You would be more at home at one of those crazy Muslim nations so why don't you get the hell out of the USA! Your buds are all there.
We have an alliance with Saudi Arabia and Kuwait to keep the oil flowing. Bin Laden, Saddam Hussein and you want us out of the MidEast. How stupid is this? Get real dumbass. Until we get out s**t together on energy/oil we will be in the MidEast defending our friends the Saudis. Israel can defend herself and has been heavily armed foe decades to fend off Jew haters like you. Jews got guns and nukes this 'round and don't forget it chump.

IMHO I think the jet was indeed a terrorist attack killing all the Jewish passengers. I don't blame Sharon one bit..sorry but that's how I feel. I think they have suffered enough.
