All too often we forget Jesus period. Most people have no problem talking about God. Just look at how often God is mentioned even in political circles. But when it comes to God in the person of Jesus Christ, we tend to avoid that subject completely.

Bingo! Muslims believe in "Allah" (like God the Father) but not in the divinity of Jesus Christ, nor the Holy Spirit of Christ.

Therefore, they are 2/3 deficient, theologically.

Their "god" is not our "God", and I am sickened by the commentators who cannot distinquish these theological points.

Thanks for your insight.

AG...To much of our culture one god is as good as the next..

Did you see Gladiator? There he was carefully wrapping up his man made gods..praying to gods made in mans image...

That scene gave me goosebumps,it took me back to my RC roots, but it also showed man has not changed !

Today on TV,we see people that do not have any knowlege of God telling us that somehow we share spiritual roots with these heathens......well may be they do but I DO NOT!

Shelton makes an excellent point. Vague references to God (and even God in the Person of our heavenly Father) are generally tolerated.

But any reference to Christ and His cross (and in my case that extends to making the sign of the holy cross) are considered to be in poor taste and superstitious/inappropriate.

The abstract concept of divinity can be comfortably tamed in our subjective mind - but the objective sacrifice and historical reality that is the love of Christ is more challenging to the complacent.

Allah is an abstract who can be used to justify anything - unlike Christ, a real God, who personally brings us face to face with suffering and glory.
