In fact, I'm buoyed by Blair's articulate, steadfast, emphatic presence. The world knew from the beginning we would respond. Blair has let them know we aren't alone, his enthusiastic support is significant, to friend and foe alike.
To tell the truth, most of my countrymen I am acquainted with take the view that fighting this war is absolutely necessary. Call it the Winston Factor, we are ready to fight. Even the Labour Party is ready to fight, which is damn peculiar.
Speaking about myself, in what I think and what I've felt since the attack, there is a certain hard edge, a certain rage, a certain anger against those who did it. And I think these feelings are widely held.
Sterner days, indeed.

Glad to hear from you. "there is a certain hard edge, a certain rage, a certain anger against those who did it."And Blair expresses it so well. I'm reminded of his plaintive remarks after Diana's death...he captured your nation's emotional state so well, and I believe he's done it again.

Call it the Winston FactorThis is great.! The line in the sand! The war this time is Civilization vs the Barbarians. A rather clear distinction - even the Labour Party gets it. The Democrat Party over here are solidly with President Bush, too.
