What is really in our best interest to get the Arabs to make peace with Israel. During the cold war it was our interest to back Israel because the Soviets backed the Arabs. Now the cold war is over. Stability is what we need. As long as the Arabs keep fighting Israel there will be no stability. So what is it going to take to stop the Arabs from fighting Israel? First is the knowlege that Israel cannot be vanquished. Second is the knowlege that if Israel is vanquished, they will be destroyed as well. Only then can they make peace with Israel, and in time it may be a true peace with warm relations.
But the first step to ensure that no more wars occur, and that will only happen by showing the Arabs that they will lose any war they start.
This needs to be done once a ten years or so: 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973, 1982, 1991, 2001
