The terrorists hijacked planes full of innocent people and smashed them into large buildings with even more innocent people in them to kill as many innocent people as possible.
What further qualifications for their barbarity do you require? What more outrages do they need to commit before you submit to the truth that we in America and Europe do represent a higher standard of behaviour and civilisation?
A vigourous defence of that civilisation is what is called for, not some whingeing about moral equivalence.

Yes, but you are talking about terrorists, not Muslims in general, I hope. Unless you mean by "they" Muslims, that they are all potential terrorists and that we should fear them all?
This is not about being politically correct, this is about being fair and objective. You cannot blame a whole religion for the actions of some fanatic suicidal terrorists, and say that they should all be bombed, just because the terrorists were of their religion.
