This is what I received from a college student in FRmail:

it's far from over, and i don't want to have them over for tea and crumpets, but i also don't want to kill thier children.

and, here's a newsflash, america and the world in general does have a disease, it's called hate and feelings of superiority over those who are different than you are. from that we need to heal and if we don't we will bring about our own destruction and for what, differing views?

I received the following from a "college student" who I will not name, but whose sign up date was Sept 29th, 2001. Here is what he wrote to me:

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, don't you think nuclear bombs, killing in the name of god,ideas of superiority and hate itself is a little more dangerous than toleration and understanding by students on campuses across the country? or maybe these pasive and non violent practices threaten you and the completely subjective reality in which YOU live in some way, maybe they threaten your "values and morals" that you want to push onto people who don't want them cause they already have thier own. the times, they are a changin-bd -a 23 year old college student @ -school deleted-

Here was my response:

I live in a completely subjective reality? You are an idiot. At least have the balls to post this crap publicly so that everyone can see the campus mentality of today. Two of the reasons I survived brainwashing at UNC was that I was a math/physics major and, when not studying serious material, I was having to much fun to actually attend the social "science" electives.

Although I doubt your mushy mind can handle it, I'll try to address the subject of the thread. Do you really think we are talking about "tolerance and understanding"? Am I supposed to tolerate the attack on the WTC? Am I supposed to understand why Osama Bin Laden wants to kill me, my friends, and my family? What we are talking about is the lack of tolerance and understanding for non-leftist ideas and thoughts within the walls of these universities. I know a conservative professor who objectively and conscientiously taught the political theory of Marx and Engels? Do you think any of the liberals taught Burke or Hayek?

I don't know about my "values and morals" being threatened and in need of protection? I do know that my family and friends LIVES are threatened? If push comes to shove, you probably don't want to be around when I protect them.

I actually thought about starting a thread on it. Maybe we should??
