I agree CG there are too many people on this thread that do not understand that television pictures of aero planes and aircraft carriers are expensive theatre and will have little effect on the eventual outcome. Show me pictures of a few buses taking Special Forces to Colorado would impress me, for more but it sure as hell wouldn’t make good television.

Six months ago the Russians came up with a brilliant idea. The would train some elite troops to become guerillas. The first group, of so-called guerillas, was landed, by helicopter on a remote mountain and they were almost immediately wiped out. Another group that entered the mountains terrain on foot, under the watchful eyes of the genuine guerrillas, will never see mother Russia again. Armies cannot train guerrillas, guerrillas fight for a cause, not for food and few dollars a day.

The fact that Qatar's al-Jazeera Islamabad’s correspondent reported it, and has, according the BBC, been the conduit for Bin Laden’s organization in the past, makes me believe that it is very likely true. And although it appears that most people here have made a career of underestimating the enemy – any school kid will tell you don’t promise anything you can’t deliver. Do you really believe your enemy is more stupid than a school kid? Your enemy has killed more people than the American army has since WWII. And has been fighting long before 98% of your army were born.

Keep underestimating them and your dead meat.
