I suspect that they were totally winded, huffing and puffing up a trail at high elevation carrying heavy loads and walked straight into an enemy ambush, checkpoint, or merely an encampment.

It takes even fit troops weeks to acclimate to humping a ruck up the high mountains. Rushing this kind of job is bound to lead to this.

God have mercy on them...and pray the Taliban is in a bargaining mood.

I may be proven wrong, but the only evidence we have that they have our boys is their claim.

I don't put much stock in their word. And I hope like hell I'm right.

IF this is true, there is probably a very good chance
that their US command team knows exactly where they are at
and are only moments away from rescueing them.
