WHAT AM I MISSING HERE?
Not going to happen. These people are just making fools of themselves. The reason they will have no effect lies not in suppressing their speech, but in the fact that their ideas are absurd and will fail miserably in the free marketplace of ideas.
Eventually the Taliban moves in and takes over the Government and immediately kills all of those in this group of Anti Americans.

We aren't going to be overrun and occupied by the Taliban or anyone else under any circumstances. They wouldn't even be able to attempt it, even if we didn't have a military. The most they can do is hit and run. Occupation is literally impossible for them, and everyone knows it.
So there is no credible threat of the Taliban ruling us. But we could create our own little Taliban right here. We, ourselves could forbid free speech and assembly from unpopular minorities. The major difference would be the people rounding up and killing dissenters would be clean cut Americans instead of turban clad Islamic fundamentalists. When one is oppressed, does it really matter who does the oppression?

If you seriously think honoring the 1st Amendment is going to end with a Taliban occupation of the states, you're missing reality.
