Actually, Pat makes no good points at all. His relatively recent dislike of Israel aside (he used to be pro Israel), Iraq or some other Arab state probably did this.

It's ridiculous to believe Osama Bin Laden could do this sophisticated operation by himself. And as for the "moderate" Arab states giving support to the U.S. --even Bin Laden says he didn't do this.

Pat's article shows he has no appreciation of the Islamic threat to the west when he dismisses Richard Perle's suggestions as fighting "Israel's war."

When the gulf war happened in 1991, he and Joe Sobran blamed Israel for that one, claiming the Jews were sending American boys to fight their war (it was really fought for Kuwait and U.S. oil needs).

One has to wonder who's manipulating whom when even CNN assumes the mantle of Christian Militantism.

Bin Laden always denies specific actions, but congratulates those who performed them.

Pat is right. To turn this into a war against Syria, Iran, Iraq and Lybia is insanity.

"It's ridiculous to believe Osama Bin Laden could do this sophisticated operation by himself."

Osama bin Laden may well be conducting a private enterprise. A lot of conservatives claim that private enterprise is much more efficient than government. Why is it so hard to believe that a private enterprise could have done this when one has such faith in private enterprise?

I'm not saying a government wasn't involved, what I'm saying is that it is possible this is a private enterprise.

Anyway I'm still waiting for the evidence that Osama is really behind this. I have yet to see it. I don't think I can support an invasion of Afghanistan if I don't have any credible evidence that Osama had anything to do with this.

I don't know whether the Neo-cons or Pat are more ignorant about this. Maybe its a tie.

Can somebody please explain to me why the White House would announce that it was trying to overthrow the Taliban, go after Iraq, Syria, Sudan, etc? Even if it was planning on doing so? Those conservatives who are blasting Bush for allegedly following Powell's advice and being too soft are exposing their own bone-headedness.

If Bush were to announce his intention to overthrow the Taliban, then go after Iraq, Syria, etc., what effect would such an announcement have on those Arab countries that are cooperating with us, either openly or behind the scenes? It would open rifts for no purpose. It's likely that the Administration has every intention of knocking the Taliban out of power. But why they would announce that intention ahead of time is a complete mystery to me. Help knock the Taliban out of power, disavow any responsibility, and you've accomplished your goal without creating more martyrs or inflaming the population in moderate Arab states.

Same with bin Laden. My guess is if/when we do kill him, we won't make any announcement to that effect, and simply say we're not sure where he is. That makes it much more difficult for radicals to whip up more anti-U.S. hatred in moderate Arab-states. But, the radicals will know that we mean business because they will know we killed him. That's the way to bring terror to the terrorists. A swift, unannounced and uncelebrated death in the night.

Pat is absolutely correct here. Dumb Americans will go along with the hair brained Neo Cons and we will occupy Iraq and incur many deaths and retribution.

Once Iraq is taken over for resisting the New World Order then the UN will be moved to Baghdad as consolation and consolidation of the One World Government. Iraq has tremendous historical significance to the One Worlders. This is where the first One Worlders in Babel began. The first great Empire, the Babylonians, had it's start here as well as the Patriarch of the three great religions in Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Alexander the Great made Babylon his capital and the Bible predicts Babylon will be a major player in the world scene. Don't forget that Iraq has the largest known oil reserves in the world.
