The other night I saw someone talking about this very thing and specifically mentioned it could be done with smallpox

Most folks here have been vaccinated for smallpox. I have the scar on my left shoulder still. I'm not quite sure when they quit doing it in the schools. It was de riguer when I was a boy in the 60s much like the sugar cube with the polio vaccine.

I think they mentioned they stopped giving the smallpox vaccine in 1968-1970 but did not say when they began.

Your #78. They stopped giving small-pox vaccinations in the late 60's because it was believed to have been irradicated.

The ones you and I got as children will not be as effective because of the length of time since we had them and due to the fact that some sicko out there is breeding new strains that we were not vaccinated against.

I got an email from Gloria to the Texas Freepers about precautions regarding bio-agents. It was a FreeRepublic article someone had posted. I'll see if I can't find it and get the link to you.
