Yes, but you are talking micro-evolution not macro evolution. Macro-evolution is the jump from one species to another, the belief that a bird came out of a lizards shell is one example of a macro-evolution idea.

I know the difference. I've spent most of my life, up to this point, working with biology. However, while I do not believe in an abiotic origin, and evolution as a means to the "creation" of higher taxa, I think it is important for our kids to understand the concept and theories that deal with evolution. Teach your kids at home what they should know about origins.
